Sara Rowland is a Certified Massage Therapist (CMT) currently living in sunny San Diego, CA. She graduated from Pacific College of Health & Science, CA with an Associate Degree in Applied Sciences for Massage. She is certified by the California Massage Therapy Council (CAMTC) and is currently thriving as a massage therapist in San Diego.
As a young adult Sara was introduced to the complex world of naturalistic healing and has been positively obsessed ever since. Sara specializes in Deep Tissue Massage as well as proficient training in Tui Na, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF), Thai Foot Reflexology, Swedish Massage, and Orthopedic Assessment. She has a passion for healing and assisting others, especially those with mobility limitations. Having a career mitigating her client’s pain and suffering for their better quality of life is what Sara is passionate about.
On her off days you’ll often find Sara nature wandering on hiking trails, formulating herbal skin salves at home, or at the local archery field practicing for her next medal.

PNF is a neuromuscular stretching technique that can improve your range of motion. Many massage therapists and physical therapists use PNF to help clients regain their range of motion after an injury or surgery. PNF is also a great option for athletes, dancers, and body workers who need to improve their flexibility or relieve pain post event. PNF can be used as a post workout stretch, even after a high intensity workout. This modality can be easily be combined with other massage techniques. On it's own, PNF uses no oil and is a great clothing on option.

Deep Tissue Massage reaches deeper layers of muscles and fascia. Mainly this modality is used to treat musculoskeletal issues and involves slow, sustained pressure with deep strokes to target inner layers of your muscles and connective tissues. Deep Tissue is used to break up scar tissue that follows an injury and helps reduce tension in muscles. It also increases blood flow and helps reduce inflammation. Ideal for those with old sports injuries, strains, and chronic pain or for targeting problem areas.

The goal of Swedish Massage is to melt away muscle tension and increase the blood flow to your heart. It promotes relaxation in the body by calming the nervous system. It helps to rejuvenate and energize the body with effleurage, petrissage, concentration techniques, and rocking. Ideal for those who need to unwind from a busy work week or want to ease away stress from their busy life.

Tui Na massage that has more than 5,000 years of history. It uses a combination of massage, acupressure, and traction to manipulate soft tissue along the natural meridians of the body. Massage therapists use various techniques, including kneading, pressing, rolling, and stretching to relieve pain. Oil is only used sparingly on neck, hands or feet. Tui Na is a great clothing on option for those who have a busy schedule.
